Announcements for Week of October 5, 2008

Here are the announcements for this week:

Early Morning Message
Each Sunday morning at 9 am, Ron teaches an abbreviated message for the all the childrens workers and it's now open to anyone who would like to attend. We encourage you to be in the upstairs theater room in the Administration Building, with your coffee and a donut, and prepare yourself for the morning message.

Pre-Service Prayer
If you are not in the early message class, then be sure to be in the sanctuary at 9 a.m. for the pre-service prayer time. This time is very important to our church. Here we take the time to prepare our hearts to hear from God, pray for the lost, pray for the worship team, etc. We spend time worshipping with the worship team and then Jason leads us in powerful prayer corporately. It's important that you take responsiblity to be a part of this portion of our Sunday morning service. See you there!

Baptism
Sunday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m. we will be at the Schrunk's home for a water baptism service. We have several (at least 5) who have asked to be baptized and this is our last chance this winter before Wayne turns the heat off his pool! I know we joked about having a barbeque at Wayne's house after the baptisim, but it was just a joke. We will NOT be eating at the Schrunk's, you're on your own for that. But, be sure to come over right after church and be a part of this important step in a young Christian's life.

Cell Leaders Meeting
Sunday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m. will be a All Cell Leader's Meeting here at the church. This is an important meeting as we are making final plans for the Encounters in just a few short weeks.

WORK
If you have any time to commit to cleaning the basement, please contact the office. We want to clear it out and clean it up before the Moving the Vision Forward meeting on November 5th.

LOOKING AHEAD:

• Men's Encounter, October 17 & 18, Gold Beach Resort, Gold Beach, Oregon.

• Women's Encounter, October 24 & 25, same location.

• Baby shower for Nikki, Saturday, November 1st in the cafe.

• Moving The Vision Forward, Wednesday, November 5th. We are having a Crab Feed Fundraiser at this time, along with the presentation for the work to be done this coming year. Price is $15.00 per person, with all the proceeds going toward the 2009 Projects. You're welcome to invite your friends and family along to the Feed.

• Baby Shower on Saturday, November 8th, 11 am in the cafe for Isabella Gerami. We want to officially welcome Isabella into her new church family. Everyone is invited to share in this wonderful time with Julene and Mehrdad.
