Speakers included Larry and Joel Stockstill, Bob Sorge, and Bishop Tudor Bismark. The conference was outstanding and made profound impacts on all our lives! Save your money and plan on attending next year!

August, 2009
What a month! Our Women's Combined Cell Group "Refresh" was held on Tuesday the 11th here at the church. This month was our last for the summer, so we had a pot luck dinner and played games together. It was fun and we had a great attendance for it. Our next "Refresh" is Friday night and Saturday morning, the 18-19th of September. This will be a great few days with a very special Friday night service and exciting modules available on Saturday morning, topped off with a free lunch. You'll want to plan now to attend.
Then Murray and Nancy Watkinson arrived from New Zealand. Actually they have spent the last 7 months in Rarotonga, Cook Islands getting the church there stablized and on a good foundation. It was good to have them here representing the Celebration Centre Movement of churches and we enjoyed their ministry in both services on the 16th.
We played our last softball games in August and were invited to play in the playoffs on the 29th & 30th. We had a tailgate party on the evening of the 16th and had a great time (pictures above). We're now looking forward to our annual Labor Day Picnic and golf tournament!

New Summer Service Hours - Now with more options!
On Sunday, June 14th we'll begin our new summer service hours with our Cafe Service from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. and our Family Service beginning at 10:15 a.m.
The Cafe Service is very informal and casual, beginning with a shortened worship time and a condensed version of the morning sermon. This service is one hour in length and you will be able to have your morning coffee and donuts at the tables in the sanctuary. There is no child care currently available for this service.
Family Service is just that, there will be child care available for all ages directly after the worship time. We'll be starting 15 minutes later than usual, so keep that in mind. This will be the full service, including more worship and a more indepth message.
Praise and Prayer
This will be our second night of Praise and Prayer, Sunday, June 14th at 6:00 p.m. We had a great many people come last month and it was a very powerful night of freedom in worship and praise, ending with focused and concentrated prayer led by Ron. If you love to praise, if you're concerned about the church and it's focus, if you want to spend quality time with God, you won't want to miss this very special night.
Tuesday, June 16th - Refresh!
For this week of June, there will be NO women's cell groups meeting. Instead, we'll meet together at the church at 6:30 p.m. for a combined women's cell and we're calling it "Refresh!". I believe this is going to be a wonderful time of fellowship, getting to know some of the other ladies that aren't in your group. It will be a powerful time of dynamic worship together and we'll have a special word from one of our own ladies. This isn't the time to excuse yourself because you're regular cell isn't meeting. Stretch yourself, meet new people, bring new people, become a part of what's happening here at Celebration Center. See ya there!
Praise and Prayer
Sunday, July 5th is our 3rd night of Praise and Prayer at 6:00 p.m.

Our second summer combined women's cell meeting is Tuesday, July 14th at 6:30 p.m. There will not be regular cell meetings held this week.

Announcements for week of May 4, 2009
Hello! We had our second Sunday night of Worship & Prayer this past week. What a great evening. The only rule is that you can't treat it like a regular service. That means get out of your seats, change positions, forget all you know about how to act in "church" and get some freedom in your personal and corporate worship. This is the time and the place to "let your hair down", to get undignified and forget about who, if anyone, is watching you. Freedom!
Mother's Day is next Sunday, May 10th.
Celebration Center Lions Softball team have already begun practices, every Saturday morning from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. at the Oak Street field. Games begin in June. We needed your registrations by last Sunday, so if you haven't paid yet you'll need to talk to Coach Kara Moore to see if you still have a place on the team.
All Cell Leader meeting next Sunday, May 10th, at 6 p.m. in the Coffee Lounge.
Count The Stars 2 disc CD set is ready for pre-release sales. The cost is $28 for the set. The real, actual CD hasn't arrived yet from New Zealand, but as soon as they do you will be able to trade in your pre-release copy for the real thing. It's an awesome set with a lot of the songs we already sing, and some we haven't learned yet. You'll want this for your home or car, or both.
The Church Directory is being redesigned and updated as we speak. Be sure to make any necessary changes to the information pages at the front desk and get your family photos taken just inside the sanctuary by either Danny Kern, Darby Gates or Jack Richards. We hope to get everything finished by end of service May 17th.
Work day & Barbeque. Saturday, May 23rd, we want everyone physically able to be here at the church for the Spring Clean Up party. Depending on the weather, of course, we have painting, inside and out, power washing, weed whacking, lawn mowing, trimming, edging, garbage clean up, etc. etc. We'll try to have a sign up sheet on Sunday the 10th so you'll know what you can do.
Graduation Reception, Sunday night, June 7th at 6:00 p.m. We're going to be celebrating with our graduates, High School and Others, with a reception here at the church. More information to follow next week.

Where are Ron and Debbie, anyway?
If you are curious to see what our pastors are up to down under, visit their trip blog! You can find it at www.raro2009.blogspot.com, or click this link. They have been uploading pictures and videos of their time ministering in New Zealand and Rarotonga, the Cook Islands, and it's fun to see what they are up to. (And what Debbie is shopping for.)
