Announcements for week of December 29, 2008

Hello there

Since our projector was out of commission last Sunday, we'll have to do this "old school". Announcements for this week are:

Happy New Year! The office and school will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2009 for New Year's Day. Open again on Friday.

School of Equipping begins Tuesday, January 20th from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. at the church in various classrooms. This session is 5 weeks long and will be offered again on February 24th. Sessions include: Post Encounter for all those 1st timers to Encounter; School of Worship, this is for anyone interested in learning more about the why's and what's of worship; and a Marriage Enrichment Video Series. Sign up beginning this Sunday at the Info Desk.

End of Year Contribution Statements will be ready to pass out on Sunday. Take a look at them, and if you see any glaring mistakes, please contact Debbie at the church office @ 756-4000 x 304 and she'll fix it.

Video Announcements 12.21.2008

Hello Church Family:

This Friday, December 19th at 6:00 p.m. is our annual All Church Christmas Party. This year will be held downstairs in the new, but still unfinished "dining room". Dinner is provided - we're having Lasagna and all that goes with it! Yum, yum. People have been signing up right and left to show off their many and varied talents at the Talent Show and we have been getting some interesting insight into what people think "ugly" means as they prepare for the "Ugly Sweater contest". There will also be a place prepared for those Holiday Family Photos (you can purchase them at a minimal cost).

For the kiddies there is a party upstairs for the older children (4-12) and the nursery is open and staffed for those little ones (3 and under). So everyone is taken care of and will have a great time. Come one, come all!

Cookie Exchange

The Cookie Exchange is still on for this Saturday, December 13th from 2 - 4 (ish) p.m. at the church cafe. You'll need to bring 6 dozen of your favorite homemade cookies or bars. Please RSVP to Darby at thechef_of_northbend@charter.net or 541-217-0630. Hope to see ya there!
